Microsoft announces new partnership with ABC News, Disney, NBCUniversal

Posted April 12, 2018 12:48:02Microsoft announced Monday that it is partnering with ABC, Disney and NBCUniversal to create a digital news platform called Universal News Platform.

Universal News will allow consumers to create, share and watch their own content and stories.

Microsoft says the new partnership will help it grow its News and Analysis team, and help create a news-related ecosystem that connects consumers to their news sources.

“The goal of Universal News is to connect people to content, and to help us bring our customers more news, and more content,” Microsoft Vice President of News, Andrew Rassweiler, said in a blog post.

“This is a big step forward for us to help consumers discover, share, and consume content, especially when we are building a new product.”

Universal News Platform will also include a number of features, including the ability to search for news articles, a news page, and an on-demand video feed.

Microsoft will also have the ability “to connect content to its News Hub,” which is part of its News platform, and will work with the company’s new Universal Hub app to help users find news, videos, and other content they can watch and share.

Rassweiser said the goal is to make it easier for consumers to find and discover new content.

“It’s a big shift for the business, and a lot of people are going to be interested in the news,” he said.

“As a technology company, we see our future as having more people who want to engage with content.

We think that it’s the future of the business.”

Microsoft’s announcement comes a day after it announced a partnership with NBCUniversal that will allow it to use its News Platform to build new products.
